Born in August 2013, Clitheroe-based band DRIVE began with a mission to provide locals with an unforgettable, high-energy night out, regardless of where they perform. And let me tell you, this band never disappoints!

Over the years, DRIVE has skyrocketed on the band scene, offering polished performances that seamlessly bridge musical eras. From the timeless classics of the '60s to the hits of today, DRIVE keeps things fun, dynamic, and raw.

The band’s all-star lineup features:

- Liobhan Singleton on violin, bringing an ever-graceful touch to their melodies,

- Jason Marshall on electric and double bass, whose smile and charisma anchor the band's sound,

- Graham Taylor on acoustic guitar, combining attack with finesse,

- Roger Dickinson on drums and backing vocals, delivering outstanding percussion,

Achievements of DRIVE

2023

- Lead vocalist Ric, with contributions from DRIVE members, penned the heartfelt song "The Light" to raise awareness about the tragic loss of life due to teen and young adult suicide in the UK. This poignant track was recorded at the esteemed Grand venue Studio in Clitheroe and mastered at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. The project had the support and input of dedicated mothers who had lost their children to suicide, the youngest being just 13 years old.

2021

- DRIVE was honoured with Platinum Awards for "Best Soundtrack" and "Best Music Video" for their compelling original song, "Big Cat Mystery," at the prestigious Fortean Film Festival.

- Successfully joint organised the "Gig for Ukraine," a multi-act benefit concert at The Grand Venue, raising over £10,000 to support Ukrainian families settling in the Ribble Valley.

2020

- Provided support for the iconic '90s dance group N-Trance, further broadening DRIVE's ensemble of prestigious collaborations.

2019

- Sold out the prestigious The Grand Venue in Clitheroe in record time

2017

- Supported renowned band The South (formerly The Beautiful South), showcasing DRIVE's versatility and appeal across varied musical genres.

2016

- (Although the event was called off literally weeks before it was due to go ahead!) Shared the bill with music legends such as Jools Holland, Simply Red, Gabrielle, Echo & the Bunnymen, Shed Seven, The Lightning Seeds, and The Farm, cementing DRIVE's reputation as a premier live act.

2015

- Opened for top Radio 1 DJ Greg James, enthralling audiences with DRIVE's dynamic performance at the illustrious Empress Ballroom in Winter Gardens, captivating an audience of over 6,000 music enthusiasts.

Overall

- Sold out numerous venues in record time, breaking sales records and reinforcing the band’s popularity.

- Nurtured young musical talent by providing invaluable gigging experience, mentorship, and motivational support, and collaborated with rising stars such as the remarkable artist Kelsey Gill.

- Headlined major events, often performing before dignitaries and celebrities.

- Raised over £60,000 for various charities through dedicated efforts and community support.

- Successfully organized and hosted numerous high-profile events, demonstrating DRIVE's prowess in both performance and event management.

- Undertook professional recordings and films at local radio live lounges, recording studios, various locations, and key events.
